Dragonfly Cocktail Bar was re-established in 2018 as a revival of the original spirit of the Edinburgh cocktail scene; a laid-back environment where our guests can explore a carefully considered drinks list. An established Fringe venue in the heart of Edinburgh.

This year we have two entry methods: Free & Unticketed or Pay What You Can
Free & Unticketed: Entry to a show is first-come, first served at the venue - just turn up and then donate to the show in the collection at the end.
Pay What You Can: For these shows you can book a ticket to guarantee entry and choose your price from the Fringe Box Office, up to 30 mins before a show. After that all remaining space is free at the venue on a first-come, first-served bases. Donations for walk-ins at the end of the show.

8 Ways to Break a Glass (with an American Opera Singer) is a fast, joyful hour of standup, storytelling, and jaw‑dropping live opera from Berlin‑based American dramatic soprano and Wagner nut Stephanie DePrez. Last year, the show grew so well by word of mouth that multiple performances sold out in the final week, with people coming back for a second round of arias, jokes, and glass‑shattering high notes. Armed with a 100‑decibel top note and a wicked sense of humour, she structures the show around eight metaphorical “ways to break a glass”: heartbreaks, career disaste...

An inspiring, comedic, music-driven cabaret show celebrating outrageous, true-life stories of a multiple-divorcee/rock-singer-turned-cabaret-comedian who decided to pack her jaw-dropping tales of cult-loving husbands, jailbird exes and shaggable therapists into an hour show of powerfully funny parodies, with snippets of famous songs recrafted to poke fun at her rocky road to self-discovery. From sultry pop to classical trills and belting cabaret-style showstoppers, Barbara lustily celebrates female power in the midst of chaos, in a show that audiences have called “fearless, endearing, and unfl...

Cobin Millage has no intentions of jumping off of a bridge. Everyone else makes it look really enticing, but he's not about to do it just because it's an option. That would be insane. He does his own thing, completely independently of any and all peer pressure that might be forced upon him. He's going to do something different like... I dunno... Talk about finding money on the ground, funhouse mirrors, lemonade stands that have continuously destroyed his life, or something like that. I dont know why you're asking me. You should just ask him. He's the one with all the ideas here. Go find him, I...

A dark stand-up comedy hour about Sofia May's experience as a former member of a Buddhist cult's inner circle, working as the assistant of a very chic, diabolical, female cult leader. After living the life of a religious Buddhist zealot in a secluded community deep into the Colorado Rocky Mountains for years, Sofia hit the road and blew the whistle. It isn't a famous cult yet, but through exposés, podcasts and general trash-talking, Sofia's trying to change that. What's more, now a self-proclaimed "Buddhaphobe", she intends to ruin your relationship with Buddhism too....

She's back !!! TWONKETTA THAT IS !!!! And just as well – because a Fringe without one of Twonkey's fabulous phantasmagorical creations would be like Edinburgh without the Castle. The most spellbinding tales to come out of Scotland's capital do not concern themselves with mere wizardry, but transport audiences to “wonderlands of weird” (The Scotsman) For sixteen years Twonkey has carved a daily hour of magic out of Edinburgh's Fringe : a collection of magic moments, strung...
