A Musical Comedy Showcase with Alex Camp

We've all seen the eye rolls and heard the moan; "Oh no, MUSICAL comedy." Yet Bo Turnham, Flight of the Conchords, Tenacious D, Flo and Joan, David O'Doherty et al are still legends of comedy. Not saying they'll necessarily perform at THIS show, but with the proliferation of social media, many comics have diversified into musical content and there needs to be a corner of the Fringe dedicated to it.

Each night features a rotating line-up of strong circuit comedians bringing their sharpest material that happens to be in the form of a song, themed around music, or a sonically unique adaptation of their greatest hits. The tone ranges from dark to silly to unexpectedly uplifting, giving audiences big laughs alongside rousing singalongs.

The show is designed to be welcoming, inclusive and positive. It provides an alternative comedy night that still delivers the energy of a great stand-up bill, while also offering something different. It works equally well as a pre-night-out show, a thoughtful mid-afternoon slot, or an option for audiences looking for this particular niche.

This year we have two entry methods: Free & Unticketed or Pay What You Can
Free & Unticketed: Entry to a show is first-come, first served at the venue - just turn up and then donate to the show in the collection at the end.
Pay What You Can: For these shows you can book a ticket to guarantee entry and choose your price from the Fringe Box Office, up to 30 mins before a show. After that all remaining space is free at the venue on a first-come, first-served bases. Donations for walk-ins at the end of the show.
