Wasabi Com Con

A Half-hour family-friendly comedy show themed on Japanese culture and Anime.

It’s a Comedy Comic Con consisting of a compilation of the best jokes from 'No Mask Required' performed at the Fringe2019, brand-new jokes on Anime/Comic Jokes, and an updated iImpression medley.

A family-friendly, clean comedy that also offers a deep understanding of Japan's 'weird' culture! More than just culture, it's like a mini-travel experience that explores Japanese personalities, tourist attractions, and even compares the work culture between Japan and Western.

Originally it proceeded with illustrations on drawing paper like a picture-story show. Now all drawings are in digital slides and should be projected on a screen.

The original show has been repeatedly performed, being updated at schools, Japan-related events such as Cherry Blossom Festivals, and hotels in Japan. It also includes foreign countries such as the Philippines, Thailand, the US, and a TV programme “Asia’s Got Talent” (AXN).

Some jokes of the show have been viral with over 1 million views.

This year we have two entry methods: Free & Unticketed or Pay What You Can
Free & Unticketed: Entry to a show is first-come, first served at the venue - just turn up and then donate to the show in the collection at the end.
Pay What You Can: For these shows you can book a ticket to guarantee entry and choose your price from the Fringe Box Office, up to 30 mins before a show. After that all remaining space is free at the venue on a first-come, first-served bases. Donations for walk-ins at the end of the show.
